Easter weekend....
I went with my friend Audrey to visit her family in Kabale, Uganda fro the long weekend. I had never been to Uganda before, but the whole weekend was really nice and very relaxing.
We spent the majority of Sunday afternoon in the kitchen, preparing an Easter feast. However, we did not have the tradional roast or chicken for dinner...we decided to have an Indian meal! We all worked together through the sweat (the kitchen was really hot...and so was the food!) and the tears (TONS of onions went into this!) and the result was fantastic! Kofta, chicken tandoori, palak paneer, rice, veggies, and of course yogurt to soothe our burning tongues!
Monday we went to Lake Bunyoni, the second deepest lake in Africa. We had a lot of fun canoeing, swimming, playing cards, and generally relaxing before we had to head back on Tuesday.

LOL I did a big double take there... When you mentioned kafta. Its Lebanese too... and we had it on Easter :-D As I'm now craving some more...
